Your spectacular flight will bring you to the docks at
Friday Harbor where your pilot will direct you to
our waterfront office for check in.
Steps away is
the charming village where you can enjoy art
galleries, shops, sip a latte, stop for lunch in
one of the many restaurants, rent a bike or moped or like many of our city-weary guests - just sit and stare out at the boats and the ocean.
Board your whale
watch vessel for a 3-1/2 hour adventure
with San Juan Safaris on a new Coast
Guard inspected 55 foot long vessel - Sea Lion.
This boat is fully
equipped with a large heated cabin, walk-around viewing deck, outdoor covered & open seating (all padded).
The boat is stocked with educational materials,
field guides, hydrophone for listening to the
whales, extra coats & blankets.
We are known for our high quality, small group
experiences and for respectful wildlife viewing
with over 90 % whale sightings.
Our naturalists personally interact with our
guests, interpreting one of the most unique sea
environments on earth. Enjoy the thrill of seeing
one of the most impressive animals on the planet,
the Orca Whale.
You may also see Gray Whales,
Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Sea Lions,
Seals, Bald Eagles, Otters, Porpoise and rafts of
sea birds.

When the tour finishes the boat pulls back into the slip in Friday Harbor where the tour began. You may then have time for a bit more shopping or a bit to eat. OR perhaps you will stay a night or two? Yes, we can arrange that also.
If you are going back to Seattle, then you have a short walk down a dock back to your seaplane. Check in is 15 minutes prior to departure. 40 minutes later you'll be back in Seattle.
